About
This is my blog.
Words and photos live here.
I’ve been blogging since before the term “blogging” was invented. (For those of you who do not remember the time, it was probably about 1999.)
Since then, I’ve had writings on Scribble.nu (anyone remember that?), the original Blogger (before Google bought it out), LiveJournal, VOX, and now WordPress. I like it here.
When I’m not blogging – and if you check the archives, you can see just how much time that’s been lately – you can usually find me working as a freelancer. Most recently, that’s been as a photojournalist, but also as a graphic designer, photo lab assistant and general office monkey.
Starting August 10th, I will be a graduate student at the University of Missouri’s School of Journalism in Columbia, MO. (Well, technically, the semester begins on the 24th. We have a ‘boot camp’ starting on the 10th.) I’m very, very excited for school. It will be a lot of work, but I have grand plans to rock the program. Yeah!
I love living in Arlington, VA / Washington, DC and I’m very sad to leave my family and friends here. But leave I must! A great adventure lies ahead! And hopefully, this journey will find me back in my favorite city, with my favorite people, working for a fantastic place.
Join me on my adventures in grad school. Pester me when I’ve been too busy to update. And ask for pictures. Lots and lots of pictures.
With love always,
Erin
