this morning, i got my second “sure!” for the grad school letters of recommendation. i had previously been reconsidering the idea of staying in town, keeping my job, and schooling at night (at Georgetown). why the change of heart? first, the economy is scaring the crap out of me. i’ve got a well-paying job right now. if i left for school, there’d be no guarantee i’d get a job right away, let alone a job that pays similarly. and also, i’ve spent the last two and a half years building a kick-ass life here in DC. do i really want to leave that now?
but now that i have my second “sure!” for a letter, i’m torn. going to one of the best schools in the country is one step closer. am i really ready to pick up and go if i get in?
i get a daily horoscope by email. here’s today’s.
Dear Erin,
Here is your horoscope
for Monday, November 10:You need to branch out a bit — you can’t just stick around the same places, doing the same things with the same people. Of course you’re not abandoning friends and family, but you need to explore.
hm.
